The equilibrium in systems composed of water, electrolytes and ionite is considered. The
method of the description of properties and calculation of amounts of components in the phase of
solution of cross-linked polyelectrolyte is represented. We propose two methods of definition of
the thermodynamic constant of ion-exchange equilibrium. In the first variant, at the theoretical
description of equilibrium the equation is obtained, from which follows, that the equilibrium
constant can be defined as the ratio of constants of distribution of separated substances. In the
second variant the method of experimental definition of the equilibrium constant is proposed.
The algorithm of calculation of equilibrium constant is presented. The results of experimental
examination have shown the satisfactory coincidence of values of equilibrium constants obtained
by two methods.
